Evesham dental health team have been a member of the British Dental Association (BDA) Good Practice Scheme since 2001 and were inspected in November 2011 to ensure they were meeting the high standards required. The practice are proud too say the inspector was impressed and passed all the requirements!

A very important reason for attending regular dental health review appointments is for our team to provide mouth cancer screening. To aid this we have recently invested in a special light screening technology called the VELscope VX from Canada. Because we care about our patients we assess individual risk factors at each dental health review, and this includes keeping your medical history up to date.

As an extra measure to help protect all children over the age of 3 years, we will be offering free fluoride varnish application at each dental health review appointment. this is in accordance with strong evidence from scientific studies from around the world, showing a benefit of reducing tooth decay rates. We have found a varnish that children like the taste of, and it is tooth coloured instead of the traditional yellow.

Stain and tartar (Calculus) frequently forms on denture teeth the same as natural teeth, and can be really difficult to clean away. Denture soaking solutions and ultrasonic denture baths might help, but for really stubborn stains we now have the Sympro denture cleaner.

In March Richard travelled to Lisbon, Portugal to experience the ways of the Malo Implant Clinic undertaking a three day clinical residency.
